SwipeVibe wasn't built by a team with a pitch deck. It was built by one developer โ alone, in evenings and weekends โ who genuinely couldn't stop thinking about one question: "Why doesn't an app exist that makes voting feel like a reveal?"
SwipeVibe started as a personal frustration. Every polling app I found felt like a Google Form with a progress bar. They all showed you results as dry bar charts. No drama. No feeling. Just numbers.
I wanted the result to feel like a reveal โ cinematic, a little tense, then satisfying. The moment you see "67% agreed with you" should feel like something. That was the whole thesis from day one.
I opened Flutter, started a new project, and didn't stop.
How it was actually built
Watching people argue online about opinions with no satisfying resolution. Someone should build a way to cut through the noise โ show the actual percentage split, in a moment that feels like something.
The first thing built was the swipe-to-vote interaction. Not a button โ a physical gesture. Right means yes, left means no. That felt right immediately. The whole app grew from there.
A bar chart was wrong. A number was boring. The result needed to feel earned. After many iterations โ different animations, sequences, timings โ a 9-phase cinematic reveal was born. That's still the heart of the app today.
Adding Crowd Reader, Contrarian, Rare Mind, Balanced Mind โ labels that update dynamically based on vote patterns โ turned SwipeVibe from a utility into a mirror. Now you're not just voting; you're discovering something about yourself.
A full audio system was designed from scratch โ swipe sounds, vote tones, result stings, streak sounds. Every interaction has a neon-digital audio identity. The app feels alive with the sound on.
The habit loop: vote โ earn XP โ level up โ build streak โ climb leaderboard โ unlock achievements. 10 levels, 25+ achievements, a live global leaderboard. This turned a session into a daily ritual.
4 question types โ Hot Take, Would You Rather, Moral Dilemma, Risk vs Safe โ with an intuitive creation flow and category tags. User-generated content is how SwipeVibe scales without a content team.
The app is complete. The architecture is solid. It's in final polish โ edge cases, performance tuning, submission prep for the App Store and Google Play. The waitlist is growing. The launch is coming.
What's actually in the app
Gesture-based card swiping, question categories, real-time vote counters, creator attribution tags.
Cinematic animated sequence: vote recorded โ world split animated โ your label assigned โ share prompt.
XP level, personality label, vote history, streak counter, category breakdowns, achievement wall.
Hot, Rising, and Creators tabs. Global rankings. Live updates.
Full question creation flow with type selector, category tags, and preview.
Browse trending questions by category, see most-voted questions, discover new dilemmas.
The core app is built and works end-to-end. What's still in progress: the backend for real global vote aggregation at scale, PRO subscription flow, and App Store/Google Play submission. The plan is to launch with a real user base from the waitlist โ not as a stealth beta, but as a proper, polished v1.0.
The bigger picture
People live in opinion bubbles. Your social media, your friend group, your city โ they all create a warped sense of what "most people" think. SwipeVibe breaks that illusion one swipe at a time.
When you see that 89% of the world agrees with something you thought was controversial, or that only 4% share your take on something you were totally sure about โ that's genuinely illuminating. That's the app working.
Built by one person. Designed for everyone. Hopefully launching soon.
The split is from real global votes โ not just your country, not just your demographic bubble.
Personality Labels make your vote history mean something โ a real reflection of how your mind works.
The reveal isn't a pie chart. It's a 9-phase animated moment designed to make you feel something.
